Home – Blog – Uncategorized: The “How to” in building legacy.
May 6, 2016
March 2016 was a month of national reflection in Singapore as different institutions, groups, schools held various programs across the island to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the passing of Singapore’s first Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
The topic of legacy is something that is dear to the heart of God and mine. Let me share some thoughts on how we can effectively pass on the blessings that God has given to and through us to the next generation.
- Hear and know what God wants you to do. It is so imperative we pass on the right biblical foundations to the next generation. This would include the personal ‘logos” and “rhema” words we received that helped us in life as we built our families, our careers, our contributions to government, society and community.
- Be Obedient to God’s direction. Pray and seek the Lord and then obey.
- Be relevant to the next generation. The worst thing you can do is become irrelevant in your methods in passing your legacy to the next generation. Upgrade your communication and skills that will reflect the relevance of God’s message to them.
- Build with the future in mind. Hebrews 11:6. Faith in God will unlock the resources you need to build and pass a godly legacy to the next generation.
Be Blessed as you think about these few tips that will help you be Purposeful and Intentional in building your legacy.
